You Shall Not Pass is inspired by a passage in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. In this passage, Gandalf the Grey battles Durin’s Bane, a Balrog residing within the mines of Moria.

Team Bio:

Team NSN: Shauna Ruthenbeck (Shakopee), Nathan Ruthenbeck (Eden Prairie), and Nicole Sadowski (New Brighton) Team NSN is a family affair. Four years ago Nicole was looking for something fun to do with her family when she ran across the amateur snow sculpting contest for the winter carnival. She asked her mom, Shauna, and brother, Nate, to join her in the competition. They did - and had a great time. They’ve made the event a family tradition - something they look forward to doing every year. Last year they placed second in the small block competition and decided they were ready to compete in the large block competition.

Fun Fact:

Shauna, Nicole and Nathan are not Minnesota natives. They moved to Minnesota when Paul, Shauna’s husband, retired from the U.S. Navy. Shauna is from California, Nicole was born in Hawaii and Nathan was born in Washington state.
